FEATURED PARTYSmoke & Spice
An autumn dinner party born from a craving for chili and campfire vibes — smoky cocktails, spicy bites, and conversations that lingered late into the night.
Dinner party details
Inspired by a spark of an idea over Mom’s signature turkey chili, Smoke & Spice embraced the warmth of fall in every detail — from the flicker of ember candles to the scent of smoked old fashioneds. Cozy, textured, and faith-filled, it became a night of storytelling and connection around the table.
-
Autumn neutrals met texture and warmth — ribbed candles, tall ember vases, leather menus, and fall foliage that framed the courtyard in color. Mom’s eye for layers and levels turned the space into a soft glow of amber and spice.
-
A comfort-forward menu anchored by Mom’s famous chili and a smoky, seasonal flair:
Roasted Delicata Squash & Arugula Salad
Smoked Duck Confit Chili
Spiced Gluten-Free Carrot Cake
Signature Drink:The Smoked Old Fashioned — rich, aromatic, and perfectly paired with the evening’s warmth.
-
For the first time, music was the creative spark behind the theme — folk, acoustic, and campfire-inspired tunes set the tone. Guests even commented how the playlist made the whole evening come alive. Find “Smoke & Spice” on Spotify and join us in the soundscape of the season.
-
Nana’s Spiced Nuts — a recipe passed down and perfected for fall. Maple syrup, chili powder, red pepper flakes, and a touch of cayenne packed in kraft boxes made for the perfect sweet-meets-spicy sendoff.

The question of the night — “What is a moment in your life that went up in smoke, and what grew from the ashes?” — sparked one of our most moving conversations yet. Stories of faith, loss, and growth wove through laughter and prayer as we lingered long past dessert. It was a night of truth, warmth, and the reminder that beauty can rise from the ashes.
